Berkeley Drop-In Center is a multi-purpose center that provides a safe, informal place for people to socialize, share peer and group support, and get assistance in obtaining housing and other basic life needs.  We offer a variety of services including payee, mail and computer services, lockers, housing and other resource assistance, support groups, one-on-0ne peer support, social activities and more. 



During the Shelter-In-Place:

  • Center Hours: Monday and Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.


  • Peer Support:

    • Individual: Use our "Request for Assistance" form on our home page or call/email one of our programs.

    • Group: We are in the process of creating video support groups through the video conferencing platform, Zoom. Please check back for updates.

  • Mail Service: You can pick up mail Monday or Thursday between 10 am and 3 pm. Please call in advance to find out if you have any mail. 

  • Minimal Payee Services: Come for check pick up during our open hours Monday or Thursday 10 to 3. Please call in advance to find out if your check is ready.


  • Housing Resources: For support, advocacy and case management: Contact our Housing Specialist, Ruby at 510-653-3808 or 

  • Anger Management :

    • For court-mandated classes, we are working on providing them in an online platform. Please check back for details

    • We will also be offering an online support group "Understanding Our Anger" for anyone interested in dealing with anger.
